Beneath a Tree - Baroque to Folk will be exploring the range of colors and sonorities available through the use of period instruments. The program will include Philip Glass’ String Quartet No.5 and the Dvorak Bass Quintet No. 2 Op. 77 in G major. The journey will start with Glass’ minimalism, showcasing the sound palette available through the use of gut strings, and end with Dvorak’s richness of textures and fleshy instrumentation.
